Getting them involved
This past week went pretty well, but I need to work on getting my students involved. I have good classroom management so far, but I have to try very hard to keep them interested. I think this next week I am going to try some different question and answer techniques and see how that works out.

I have a problem with students in some of my classes being involved as well. The same students want to answer all of the time, and those who will not participate during the lesson either clam-up or will not shut-up. I have tried group work but quite a few of the students either refuse to work with someone else or refuse to participate in any discussion within the groups. I guess things could be worse; instead of just two classes with whom I struggle with classroom management, it could be all six.
